Well I started on the dropped spindles I got from Fatman Fab
and have a problem. The threads seem very different "fine" for the inserts here see photo. They should not be so tight they have to cut new threads should they??? One side started in straight but is so tight I stopped and the other only wants to cross thread in in either direction. I don't want to reck these so I stopped trying.
I can thread the insert in the old part with my fingers..
What a pain... Fatman don't have an e-mail address
Do you think they will make this right?

Could they have been distorted from welding and needed to be re-taped?

    The top threads are fine.
I guess I'll have to take them local and have them redone.
Probable less expensive then sending them back.
One more dumb ??? see photo.
Not sure if I need this pin pressed out or If I can hammer it out? I get stuck easy if I can't Bondo It and Paint It [IMG]
