Hello, I have a problem with my 63 Riviera, On Friday I lost all drive as I slowed down in some Traffic. It felt like I had knocked it into Neutral... I checked the Fluid, all ok, selected all gears but nothing... My question is this, looking through th Cars history I have found evidence of Transmission work, a lot of it!!! Is it worth getting the Dynaflow fixed or do I swap to another Transmission? Is there any bolt up options available or do I need an adaptor to fit a TH350 or such like?? Thanks in advance Guys!!!:):):) Have a picture or two...

what you need is a 1964-1966 SP or ST 400 out of a Nailhead equipped Buick. They are basically TH400's with a Nailhead bellhousing pattern. Fits like they were made for it. :)

I believe the crankshaft flange and opening for converter hub is different for the 63 engines. There is a fellow that sells a bushing for the converter hub to the 63 and back nailheads. The flexplate hole of the 64-66 Nailhead SP OR ST400'S (for flange) can be opened up to fit the older nailheads.
