As most of you are aware I now own a 63 Buick Lesabre.
I am getting it inspected. The inspector ask me if I could
get specs for the drums and ball joints. Does anyone know
of a source to get this info? Any help would be helpful.

Per my '62 Invicta/LeSabre book, the drums should have a max inside diameter of 12.080". Don't see anything for ball joints.

Tell him to p*** it unless he can prove it's outta spec. [IMG]

Thanks! Do you think anybody from WAP can help me find
wheel cylinders for this bad boy? Do you know of anyone that might have drum specs?

I think the early 45 fin (wide spacing) drums, as used 58-65 can go to 12.100 oversize. The later 90 fin (narrow spacing) drums are less allowable oversize at 12.080

I don;t understand what you mean by ball joint specs.

  11. Go to a different inspecter.
The ball joints are either worn or not. Any good Wrench can tell.
The drum specs are cast into the drum. At least I've never found a later model car that they weren't.
Thank Ralf Nader for that one. [IMG]

The inspector is cool! The state of Md inspection sheet ask for specs on balljiont. (How much play) He said they look good but he
can't fudge the numbers. I got the numbers on the drums today and found the wheel cylinders. I see books for sale on specs (shop book) but I am pressed for time. Temp tag!
