Hot Rods Buick Straight Eight spark plug

Hey guys. What plugs are you using for the S-8's.
I have a 52. 263 converted to 12v with Pertronix. Currently installed auto lite 86's.

 

any preference? NGK? heat range, gap?

 

I run original 6 volt system with points ignition . Also ran autolites in the past , now run ac delco 45s .

forgot to update. have been running NGK xr5 plugs .035" gap.
some notes from my emails with Pertronix. Andrew,


We have seen more and more failures because of the use ofsolid core wires.
So,as of the end of last year and of course this year. Engineering has said allunits need to be used with suppression core plug wires.
Andy,

We prefer wire with 800 ohm per foot or less. NormallyHEI type wire would be good.

I ended up running Accel super stock universal wires.
