ok jay, that's getting pretty close......that wheel came off of a small street sweeper (the make and model are unknown), the company jerry and i work for was throwing away a steering column out of an old street sweeper and jerry saved it, leave it to him! good job everyone...it was almost like the old tv show "i've got a secret"....you guys kept whittling away at it. later, mike

    Gerry,
The car looks better everytime you post more pics. You first run without the windshield reminds me of my first run. I made my wife get in for the first drive out of the garage. When I got to to the end of the drive I turned left and went up the street. My wife was hanging onto the dash rail because I didn't even have the doors installed. My daughter got it all on tape. It was pretty cool.

Keep us posted on future progress.
    Paul

My wife has been riding shotgun from day one. We've traveled to York, PA, upstate NY, way up Maine, she loves to go and I love having her along. I've been talking about driving to Bonnieville next August and she thinks she wants to come along.

yeah paul, i'm with jerry...your lucky that your wife likes it so much. i wish my wife would go more often but the only way she will do that is if i make some updates, she always says "windows would be nice" LOL plus it's too bumpy, too noisy and too smelly! so i am getting ready to order the window regulators, cranks, felt for the window tracks etc..that's the first project this winter, i'll start on it right after thanksgiving weekend. also going to finish the insulation, headliner and carpeting inside which should quiet it down some, and the windows will kill alot of the smell from the side exhaust and the noise. i'm keeping my finger's crossed! your first ride sounds like it was white knuckles all the way! mine was at 10:00 at night in the winter when it was freezing and jerry and i got the motor running and i decided to try it out in the back yard with jerry holding a flashlight ( no headlights yet)...the clutch was slipping like a ******* but we did several laps around the yard and we had a blast! later, mike

That's what I thought it was Jerry, yea a 1966 TENNANT, it's easy to tell the difference between a 66 and a 67 by that little....

Hey Jerry, your roadster is really coming along and is looking real nice.
If you could just keep mike out of the way with the camera, you might get something done.
Keep that smile going, it says it all!!

    Hey Jerry!

Just wanted to chime in and say looking good! What size are those front runners, they look a little wider than the ones I am running but look great.

I know how it feels to take that first drive, here's a pic of mine...

    All the best

"Wheeew"..., for a while there I envisioned a Zambonni running amuck into a crowd of people at a hockey game...! [IMG] [IMG]

Glad to hear it's just a Streetsweeper running amuck on the public streets...! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Keith, Mike lives with a camera in his hands. Tell me how many times you'v seen him with out it? But i will tell you one thing he is good with it. Adam good to hear from you again. Your car is looking good. As for the front (tires) they are G78-14. I got a real good deal on the tires at a swap meet. I bought a set of 14" and a set of 15" (set being 4 tires each) for $125.00 I love them there kind of deals. I hope you are having as much fun with your car as i am with mine. Good luck with it. Hey Jerry,

Wow that is a great deal on the tires!

My car's been off the road for a few weeks but before that I've been using it as a daily driver for last 8 months. I had a small collision a couple of weeks ago... nothing too serious just a bent front axel...should get it back next week...
