The rails are installed, the bottom is sanded, sealed, and painted. The boat is now right side up, permanently. I hope..
This one will have a 25 horse outboard. Bouncing across the tops of the waves requires a little more structure than a human powered boat would.
I’m with noboD, Terra firma for sure. But I’m curious about the materials you used on the bottom to seal and paint it. My father was into wooden boats, and his Thompson was refinished in the mid 60s. All I remember was that it had an anti-fouling coating that was copper of some kind, paint, thin sheets, or??? I don’t know.
The gray is an epoxy barrier coat, for waterproofing. The green is just urethane paint, just for looks. Antifouling bottom paints come in a lot of colors, copper-bronze being one of them, it does have some copper in it. If a boat is stored in the water it needs something to inhibit growth on the bottom. This one will be stored on a trailer so no need for it.
