Has anyone bought anything from Bumper Boyz? A few years ago a bought something from them at the Springfield swap meet and never had a problem. I have spoke to a few people that say that their stuff is crap.. Are they right, did I get lucky with my purchase? Or is their stuff decent? Thinking about making another order....

Did you put Bumper Boyz in search, there's @ least one thread. Short story is direct swap @ a meet only, according to thread.

For what it's worth, I bought 2 bumpers from Bumper Boyz a few years ago, 1 bumper was ok, the other didn't fit the car. The original contour (shape) was wrong. I was told that the chrome the use is not that great and doesn't last more than a few years. I sold both bumpers and got my cores rechromed locally.

The search function is definitely your friend on this. I have met Chromeplater Josh and seen his work and trust me, HIGH QUALITY is what I would use to describe both!! Seriously, they are some of the best anyone could ask for or about. They'll treat you right. If I could just scare up the time and money I'd be sending my stuff to him.

As for the Boyzzz, I once asked the fella at they're booth about chroming a bumper for me and I asked if he could show me one he had done and he just kept saying it would look like the display. Well I'm sure to some people "chrome is chrome" but if you drive a semi-truck full of perfect examples and refuse to show any of them to potential customers, something is a little "fishy". They just scoop up all the bumpers for sale at the swap before the gates open. Smart on their part, if nothing else.

Don't expect to get your cores back,

They just flip them and you get the next one in line

you are taking a chance at best 50/50...

    I won't use them again....

I've gained a handfull of customers thanks to Bumperboyz's poor quality. Every single BumperBoyz bumper I have fixed had the plating peel off. It was also very thin. In my real world experience, their plating is junk. I believe the reason they keep in business is their low prices encouraging impulse buys.

Bought some 46 Ford bumper guards from the Boyz that I was able to inspect before buying. Never had a problem with the chrome.

Bumper Boyz are a bunch of scamming shitbags and I refuse to do any business with them. Sure, you might luck out and get one that holds up decent, but a little discount is not worth that chance. And when it does go to shit, they won't stand behind their work or their word.

    BEWARE!

It's crap! And they don't stand behind there stuff..

  14. A few years ago there was one customer that was so mad at them, they got a space next to them at the Pomona Swap to post sign that said not to use this company, should have got a picture of it.
just use the search function, how about finding the local chrome shop and helping them out with some business?
