  14. There's a really good one on the hamb that involves flotation barrels and a tow from the neighborhood hippopotamus.

Gotta see it to believe it!

Supposedly , theres a garage on a friend of my father's land , that was built into the side of the foot of a hill, it always had rain wash going over top of it as the back was in the bank , well, the cars in it were a '58 Impala ,and a '65 Chevelle conv. , not especially desirable cars in the '70's , but , they were doing some escavating on the property , and the cars hadn't ran in some time , and the roof had fallen in on it , so , they just went up over the garage on the bank , and started pushing dirt over on the cars in the garage to make an even slope coming off the bank , you can still see parts of the cinderblock walls , and I have no reason not to believe them about the cars , so , I would assume their still there , or what is left of them...

A friend of mine had a garage, One night it burned to the ground, with a customers almost new 1932 Chevrolet inside. They dug a large hole behind it, Pushed it all in a built a new Garage.

I saw a story somewhere about a buried hemi that was saved. There was just a tiny bit sticking above the ground. These guys dug and dug around it then lifted it out with a backhoe. I think they managed to save it and rebuild it.

there was a town somewhere that buried a new mopar like 50 years ago, pulled it out of the ground and learned what moisture does, lowest mile rust bucket in existance. I see an old hudson in a raven every year I go Pheasant hunting on one of my farms in Iowa.

I bought a chicken coop filled with car parts, the roof had caved in, floor caved in and everything was covered with leaves and debris. I sifted through everything, like I was digging for gold, 1914 Harley Davidson engine parts and an AMBLER OHV head for Model A Ford were the best parts in the dig.

I heard a story from an old timer that down in San Pedro, Ca. there are holes like caves deep down in the ground, Well anyway, there was a house with an old Willys Knight in the garage there. One night there was an earthquake and the ground opened up and the house and car fell into the cavernous hole and then the ground closed back up. Nobody killed. Don't know if its true but I have no reason to discredit him.

My property has a creek that runs through it. Soon after I bought my place I found what appeared to be a late twenties Hudson 2 Door Sedan body buried in the creek bank. With the help of a couple of buddies I dug it out of one summer when the creek was dry. The side that had been under the water level was rusted too thin to support it's own weight so it just collapsed once we had it dug out.We were a bit bummed after all the work of digging it out.
