Agreed...unbelievable that someone would do such a thing. I think i would **** a load so big I would suffocate from the smell in my own ***** matter.

that is some ********. I hope to god that your buddies shop was insured. I know nothing there can be "replaced" but hopefully he'll get enough to get back on his feet and get back at it.

I just don't understand people sometimes. I don't know how someone could do something like this. It's just horrible. Some people do not deserve to live. I hope they find the *******s that did this and put them in jail. If they've got anything of value it should be sold and profits given to help repay the damages. If there is any left it needs to go to burn victims.

I'm just glad nobody was physically hurt in this.

    Dirty sonofa*****es. I can't stand this ****.

That wouldn't be unusual with all of the flamables in a shop. They may never find the cause. Damn shame. Did he have a locker for the nasty stuff?

ditto what mutt said, there's lots of accelerants if a shop! and lots of things to accidentally start a fire, you gotta be careful man, you got the hamb lynchmob all worked up and we don't know the cause yet. not trying to slight your friends loss, but if it was actually an accidental loss rather than arson, i'd hate for everybody here to miss the "shop safety" lesson.

I know how your buddy feels, Last year @ Cook's we had a fire in a storage building that Cook used as an original shop in the 30's. It was wood constructed & it contained valuable patterns for our Cyclone line as well as prototype axle housing ends for our pull out axles for our quickie. They wouldn't call me until it was all cleaned up & put into a big dumpster & hauled away, Now stands a concrete boardered burned wood floor foundation. :(
I just got back from looking @ a building that was an old feed store & is now a car wholesalers storage building. It too is wood constructed, has a *****en lil house attached @ the rear of it & has great street appeal. I know the owner & it's listed for $500k. That's a lot of product to sell just to make the payment. I can't imagine what the property taxes would be:confused:
I have way too many cars & I work on machining in my home shop too!
As I was looking @ this building the thought of fire came over me & then I go & read this. You've just given me a lot more to think about:confused: Do I want to risk loosing my cars, equipment, tooling & product @ the hands of some arsonist? This is my life as I'm sure it is all of yours too! How would one insure the building, contents, product etc. How could one put a value on ones lifes work?
Your friend has my depest sympathy for the loss of all of his valued posessions. If this was arson, I do hope the sum***** pays for it in all ways:mad:

  10. These cars were my friends life, he loved them like he loved his kids. I hope kharma comes back and ***** slaps whoever did this.

I'm so sorry for your friend and the loss. Even though he might be OK with the coverage og the damage, you will never be able to set a prize on centimental value!!

I hope he will be able to find some kind of ease of mind!

Hey not to sound like an ambulance chaser but I am restoring a 59 Buick convertible and could use some of the tub parts that the top drops into. I thought maybe this way part of the car can live on.

Send my best to your friend.

  12. What kind of subhuman ****stick would perpetrate this? As far as he had known, there could have been people in that building.

Thieves ****, vandals are worse; but arsonists are the ne plus ultra of two-legged feces, hardly better than child molesters and terrorists.

I hope the ******* gets to enjoy a full dance card in San Quentin.

And all day I was moping around because the village is on my *** to clean up the stuff I have laying around my shop. Doesn't seem like such a big deal now, after seeing the devastation there. Whatever the fire marshall finds out about the fire, please let us all know.

I remember that Buick last year at Paso. This is the big difference in customs/rods, that you can not just buy another one tomorrow, like all these new cars. We are all very lucky to have this hobby, all of our cars are very unique.

  18. sorry, this car is screwed! everything is warped.

  19. This was definitly arson per the investigator. whoever did it put stuff on the floor near the doors and poured it outside. Don't know what they used yet, they're still running test.

In a case like that, the perps' bag should be removed with a sardine can lid and then force fed to them......
