  1. Yeah, how can we forget! Seems everyone is using Troy as a scape goat. True he should have said no but organisers and even the cops who were sitting in there car watching it should cop whats coming.

  2. i hope the tree is ok

  3. Here's a few more pics of the car from NITROFC's "Thursday ... GG COLUMBUS PICS !!!!" thread:

Neither that car or the owner(judging from his choice of components) belong on the HAMB.

The only thing that is a burnout is these dumbasses putting the public at risk.

A real good friend of mine was there and was the the one who pulled him from the car. This accident is a result of way too much alcohol.(yes he was drunk) The guy didnt even know he was losing control and crashing. Thank god no one else got hurt but him.

  14. Wanker . . .

Wouldn't you just love to do that shit and come home and face your friends and family. Just glad that nobody was hurt in the process - that would really suck.

You know one thing I really like about harley events?

They tend to be a lot more hardcore about burnouts and general displays of horsepower when partying afterward. Makes for a good time. I could veer off into sayings about omelettes and breaking eggs or living in glass houses, but won't. I'll just say horsepower is king and burnouts are cool. And gawd I hope those wheels broke beyond repair.

Yep-there's the wrong thing , the wrong time, and the wrong place. Break one of the three, and you'll probably get away with it. Break 2 or 3, and you too can have your car featured here on the HAMB for free.

a kid was doing doughnuts one night in a miata and almost tko'd my old cadillac. He had to buy a new convertable top after that incident. Burnouts + Little Dicks= wrecked garbage.

  20. Its too bad that pile of shit got smashed to pieces. Plastic is for milk jugs, not cars. This is more backing of my theory "people suck".

I was thinking the same thing. Only nice part of that car.

  25. At least he did it to himself!

Back in the day we used to have a show for 55-57 Chevys. We had a "road course" set up in the parking lot of the host hotel. Just some quick turns and some backing to keep the speed down. We Joe Show -off wanted to do a burn out instead. He lost it and plowed into about 5 cars. ALL 55-57's. Some of the people had traveled 100 plus miles to the show, now had no way to get home.

I heard that it seemed like the throttle stuck or possibly alcohol impairment. Something going wrong doesn't make it OK. If every potentially unsafe act always went perfectly it would be fine. The problem is that shit happens. That guy is lucky he's not going to prison for manslaughter for running people over. There were people sitting in lawnchairs all along the road. Just think Tennessee last year and the funny car that killed those people.

I just don't get burnouts on the street. Why do you want to show off the fact that your car would lose a race to a car that actually gets traction? My Toyota truck does wicked burnouts - it sure doesn't make it or me any cooler.

All it amounts to is chest pumping... the "look at me" attitude.

That is a reason a lot of people buy hot rods. I'll take a guess that this one will go back to the shop that built it for a repair. Hopefully the driver will think a little next time.

Some people know their limits and the limits of the car and can control things in a bad situation.

    Some people can't. :(

Because it's funny, harmless and unexpected? I guess I'm looking at burnouts all wrong - apparently they're comedy. Man, you're right, they're pretty much exactly the same. I feel so lucky nobody got killed when we posed for a photo. I'll be much more careful next time.

Also, I'd never drop my pants drunk, someone might get hurt.
