Excuse me!! A lot of us ARE old men!! Being an old man doesn't mean you are a *****, or have forgotten how to have fun. If you have made it over 60, you usually have enough sense, or learned from experience, that showing off usually bites you in the ***. If you want to burn rubber, and lay black stripes on pavement, take the damn thing to the race track. The point is, one "oh ****" can **** up ten "atta' boys". If you had been driving your hot rod in 62 like I was, and had every cop in LA county gunning for every hot rod he saw, and giving all the dumb *** fix it tickets he could write, you'd appreciate just how far this hobby has come. Enough of these incidents, and the **** we had to deal with 40 years ago could come back. And "loud exhaust" doesn't bother me one bit. What does is some guy driving his hot rod with a two barrel sbc with 12" straight headers sounding like a popcorn machine because he thinks that's "the way it was back in the day".

 

For the most part we're on the same page and i'm not saying anyones a *****, maybe they just have a ***** foot.

The reason I build my **** is so i can beat on it, weather at a drag strip or not. I just don't understand these "hot rodders" that say they don't enjoy a burn out? Having a this type of car and not smoking the tires is like getting a ****** and just talking?

 

Just as stupid as Flame Throwers. Can't ever say I saw a car doing a burnout or shooting flames that made me say "WOW! What a *****IN car I would have never noticed until they inserted the idiot behind the wheel!"
Guess that's another statement that will make a bunch more people say "Your not as old as I thought" when they meet me in person. I'm 41, and I thought burnouts and flamethrowers were just as stupid when I was 16.

Yeah but you probably shouldn't do the ****** in a crowded parking lot with a bunch of families around either!

I was at a RC show a few years ago in CT, some guy in a Chevelle was in the burnout pit smoking the tires when they grabbed he rocketed the car right into a jeresy barrier. ****ed up his ride good.....The following year...no more burnout pit
