I have a 1950 Ford business coupe that I have been preparing to chop. I have seen some good examples and poor ones. Does anyone have examples of business coupes specifically? I have heard plenty of people tell me that I should not chop my coupe because the line simply does not flow right. Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Leave it alone --why mess with the best body style in the last 60 years? Only 75000 of these puppies produced in 1950. Very few good ones left. Its worth more as is--restored. Unless you can do it like one of these pros pictured...it would be a pity

These are great examples. And Encouraging. Thanks!
I agree that these coupes are a beautiful design in stock form and this is why I really need a strong direction before I begin. I am looking forward to a professionally finished and clean chop so the more examples - the better. My car is a dry california car w virtually no rust or evidence of accidents so I want to make sure I do this right. Thanks again.

This is very nice! While I'm a little afraid of the extra work, I was planning to hard top the car regardless. It just looks so much cleaner.

ignore the rims. i like coupes hardtopped, gives a false appearance that the roof is longer.

This is a beautiful chop and very close to what I will attempt. Did you weld the upper pieces of the door frame to the roof? or remove portions of the rear window frame?
