    This is New England, everything is stored in barns. Like I said, he bought what looks like a whole garage full of A stuff, two 4' x 4' x 4' boxes full of 4 or 5 transmissions, lights, a grill a hood and this is just looking in from the top. As I said there are also three intact with carb and starter motors. I am sure he got it cheap from an estate auction where the main part of the estate was farm equipment.

    Crazy stuff happens with estates.... My cousin almost sold my uncle's complete, unrusted, good motor, 32 Tudor for $4k before I got wind of it.

    All that said...yes it is highly unlikely this has a balanced crank, but probably worth pulling the pan to see. I can probably get the whole engine for the price of the head anyway.
