    a lot of st. louis-area folks probably remember the south county drive in known as the "palace of poison" on lemay ferry. once a popular hangout, it later was a burger joint, a liquor store and a bar and grille. it's gone now. the wrecking ball did a number on it!

    unfortunately, not from me--i hung out somewhere else. hoped maybe some of the old cruisers might chime in!

  5. WOW !! Looks like a place out of a Porky's movie !! Pretty interesting choice of a name......gotta' be a great back story there.

    I would have liked my ex wife to have eaten there for sure !!! I may have even bought her a gift card.....for refills.

If you look at the date it was in the early 60's and implemented in 1957 by a gentleman that thought outside the box when you needed a gimmick to grab the publics attention,it worked then but I'm sure it wouldn't pass muster in today's politically correct round peg in round hole society. HRP
