Bought a CAT SBC 383 crank a few years ago, the journals looked like ****! I've pulled cranks out of high mile engines that looked better. I traded it off as fast as I could and bought a ****. B-I-G difference and the **** wasn't that much more.
Spend the extra bucks for better quality parts, you'll save money in the long run.

So to continue with my Oldsmobile engine build. I believe I'll be going with JE SRP Pistons and Eagle H Beam rods. Light weight and should help hold the bottom end together. Any comments on the rods/pistons. The other parts I already have collect are a set of ported edelbrock heads and Mondello roller rockers along with a eagle forged steel crank. I am researching cams to see what is the best street/strip set up. With the SRP pistons and the 77cc heads with gasket I should see around 11.1 compression. Any comments
