Help an novice, Is there an adapter for a 48 flathead to a c4 tranny? I have seen adapters for the older blocks. I have a c4 thats good and was free! I have already spent alot on the motor and have not thought about a tranny untill this was given to me. Its going into a 34 truck. thanks
I don't know what C4 you have, but if it is a V8 up till 1981, www.flat-o.com Gene is not the cheapest, but the kit comes with everything you need to hook up the C4 to the 32/48 59AB motor. It also gets rid of the C4 bellhousing, which if used would mean refabing the floor area............with his kit it clears the stock floor on my Model A. Gene also owns an automatic trans shop and builds some really good Hipro/stock transmission for over 20+ years. IMHO
