C4 Transmission Fluid Capacity Question..

If I remember right the C4 takes around 9 qts dry.And most of that is in the Torque converter.How many Qts when changing out a filter?

 

Three. (3) tres.(SP?)

 

Until it reads full on the dipstick at a hot idle in Park on level ground, Dummy!

 

The converter holds 4 quarts itself, depends on the pan dont it?

 

Fat you nerd!! hahaha!! Its a 64 C4 stock pan..I dont want to over fill it before starting it up...It would be good to know..but i can figure it out...

 

1965 Motors manual says 3 quarts. Then go thru the hot check level ground shift thru the gears routine.

 

I already did it and yes 3 qts was exactly correct..Thanks for your help...
