C6 automatic tranmission BRAKE for my 61...?

I been using my 1961 P350 one ton with a backing plate brake system I made , works OK but something I just found out was that Motor Home used a automatic with a brake drum on the tail shaft (like the original 3 speed had)

my donor trany came out of a 1984 E350 boxvan

IS IT POSSIBLE to just take out the tail shaft and replace it with a ford motor Home tail shaft and have a drive shaft brake system!!???
