Tried to search this but system would not let me use C6 in the search terms. Anyway, I was looking at putting a 429 with a C6 in my 55 fairlane. I have seen some postings with comment that the C6 would require some tunnel or firewall mods. So is this the fact or conjecture? My B-in-law is putting same combo in a 57 Fairlane so will it be the same scenario for that one? Thanks for the feedback!

I can give you the exact answer because I'm too new with working on cars but I have a C6 in my '54 Customline and it doesn't appear that there was any extra mods to get it in there. Maybe my clearance is different since its a '54 Customline.

I had a 460 & C6 and was going to put that in my 55 Ford but went with a 302 & C4 . I have seen that done many times and from what I have seen they fit fine . I couldn't see tell if it was cut or not . All the people I talked with said everything fit just fine . I do know a Fe w/C6 will fall in just fine .
