Hey Hooligans. Have not posted for a bit. Question.....I have a line on a 2X4 intake system complete with carbs, linkage, air filter, (batwing), etc. Problem is it as on the left coast, and I am near Detroit. My nephew informed me of this. It is close to being sent to China. Am awaiting pics. Nephew has access to heavy machinery. If engine is free, should I have the whole hunk sent to me ? Stock system. The property once belonged to a big celeb. My Nephew is friends with the guy contracted to "clean all this crap outta here". I mean would it be worth my while to have the entire engine shipped, or just the fuel system ? Thanks.

    Tough to ship whole engine.
Much easier to ship the manifold with all it parts intact.
    Go for it!

  3. More information please. You said batwing ? Tell us more, please.

Dual quad Eldorado Biarritz convertible and engine ? Year ? Pictures ? Just an engine by itself ? What is it ?

Some of that Eldo' sh*t is $$$. Cadillac engines are cool by themselves.

An engine is a pallet, and a Fastenal location to ship commercial rate ... pretty cheap. Compared to usual shippers.

If nephew is handy, a quick crate construction helps on said pallet.

    Someone will be along shortly.

  6. Holy sh*t. That a '57 ?? I'd take the whole damn thing.

Who used to own that ? Is there history to it ? Pretty bitch'n Cadillac ... needs a ton of work, but I'd say you'd find a quick Cadillac restorer sale.

Look up the 1st 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz sold ... what it went for at auction. $650k

  7. FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grab it all ! Consider that the air cleaner should be shipped separately as it would probably get mangled if its on the engine.

At least get the intake carbs linkage and air cleaner. Remember - there not making that stuff any more AND the price is right.

If you cant get it, turn somebody else on to it that is close by. That is a keeper as a whole, for sure!

Get the intake and air cleaner. That thing is a rust bucket , it would cost more to restore than it would ever be worth. Pretty much guarantee that 365 is frozen solid. Is the batwing there?

Batwing is there. Checking if engine turns. Trunk is full of like new stainless and chrome. I agree the car has rust issues, but many hard to find parts. Gonna stay quiet on previous owner and location for obvious reasons.

  12. The trim items are handmade. Also check the top, by scraping paint with something flat ... bet its stainless.

Car was a handbuilt new. Very expensive.

That one looks to have had an interesting history. Fin mods' bodyworked ... etc.

Wish it was here. More 4 door parts cars for sure than 2 door Eldos'.

I think I have seen that car before. Picture from when it was a shiny car. Not really sure where. Being on the west coast it may have been a celebrity photo from back in the day. No necessarily a car picture.

What a shame to see such a car go to total waste. Save what you can afford to save.

It was a celebrity car. That is all I can say for now.

  17. WOW! I want that rear bumper and the wrap around to the rear wheels in a big way!

Plate frame in the back is awesome too.
