    Hello,
The engine in my '55 Coupe de Ville is currently undergoing a thorough restoration, and we just measured that connecting rod for cylinder #2 is slightly bent, and a good used one is required.
According to different vendors, connecting rod bearings are different from 1949-54 and 1955-on. I can't find any information regarding what the difference is on these bearings, and what difference there is on the connecting rods themselves.

Anyone who can enlighten me on this topic?

    Regards,
    Johan

Right off hand I can't help you but so much has been written on the HAMB about those engines that if you do a search I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.
