Hey all.......been a minute since I paid this place a visit. Have a quick question for the Cadillac guys, or anyone else who knows......

Just ordered some ball joints and control arm bushings for my 1968 Coupe deVille, and noticed that they offer two sizes, 1 1/2" and 1 7/16". I figured coupes and sedans were probably 1 7/16" and the larger 1 1/2" units were used on limos and commerical chassis cars, but thought I'd double check first....and it turns out mine are the 1 1/2".

Just curious, does anyone know what cars used the smaller bushings?

  2. The older Caddys used the smaller wrench-size upper ball joints, think they were 1.375" and the bigger one was 1.5". The cut off year may have been around 1967 for the smaller one. The alignment wrench for that had both sizes on it. I do recall doing some 1963-1964 alignments using the small side of the wrench.
