I justed wanted to let folks know what has changed in the flathead Cadillac scene mostly driven by the coming together of flathead Cadillac guys who first met on the HAMB.

Driven mostly for the need to acquire knowledge and parts this is what we have ended up with.
    Basically a one stop shop, coorperative known as;

    WWW.FLATCADDY.COM. CADILLAC FLATHEAD SPEED PARTS

    Check it out!

I figure that this event has earnt en***lement to have its own thread, especially for new comers who will have a better chance of discovering it thru our search system.

I'd like to congratulate the two main drivers of this inivation, by saying (Keeper and 38Flattie) well done guys.

I hope to see a Cad flathead that runs good on the salt some day. Never seen even a poor running one. Or a Lincoln. I have seen two Chrysler inline eights. One went 250 in a streamliner. If somebody wants to use my Vega for a Cad let me know.

Please don't hate me. Here is a picture of my Non HAMB Vega. But it is at this time Packard powered. And I have run it with 270 and 302 GMC power as well as 460 Lincoln (Ford) 455 Pontiac and 392 Chrysler. It is now and has been a record holder since 1980. It has a tube axle in front almost like a g***er. It's home made. Almost HAMB friendly. It has been over two and runs as on rails.

I don't want to hijack this very interesting thread with packard stuff. PM me with any thing you want to know about it and I'll answer.

Rich, that is wicked! I don't know about a record with a Caddy 346, but it would be intersting to see what it would do in that car!

It would be in **O/GAlt. The current record is 184.149. Held by a late Camaro with an injected 12 port GMC. Very nice car and fast. But I don't get any records with the Packard either. Just wanted to take it out and run it. Give the people something different to look at.

Russ, don't want to hijack the thread, but I know you love this stuff as much as I.

Well Rich, I know my motor won't beat that! Would the cl*** change if I used a 322 instead of the 346?

I would be interested, if you are, in seeing what this flatcad would do, though.

Blown, port injected, dual plug flathead.

Didn't know you were running a blower. A blown 322 would be running on my record from 1980--168.200. 302 GMC in the Vega. A blown 346 would be running on a record of 136.494 set in '07. A blown '52 or so Buick. In fact they just blew it for real on the dyno, so they won't be back this year. It would be interesting to see and hear that Cad flat out comming into the three.

    Rich,

Interesting the 322 cl*** is 30+moh faster than the 346 cl***.

    I'm sending you a pm.

    Nice site!

    Just a 2 cents worth:
Why not open the site a bit to sellers and resellers of ALL CADDY FLATHEAD parts?

There are several freebie forum programs you can download. It would generate traffic for the vendors and help spread the name and the cause! I'd be happy to help them set it up.

Looks like I need to pay more attention around here, I missed this thread all together.

Thank you for the compliments on the site, and if anyone out there is doing something with our flatheads, let me know and i will get you on the site right away.

I thought about that for a while but I really don't have the time to maintain a forum and there is nothing worse then going to a forum and seeing just spam messages. It is a real pain.

But please keep the suggestions coming.

I know what you mean. With the new phpBB site, my maintenance time is less than 5 minutes a day.
Before i upgraded I was getting a zillion **** spam posts a week. Now I can easily block users and checking them out is REAL easy with the automatic who-is functions built in.
Anyway, it was just an idea.

Dont quote me buddy, but I think they all only had 3 exhaust ports per side.

    Now you are talking.
We have finally got the knowledge removed the mystique and are on our way to ensuring the legend of flathead Cadillac engines in hot rods.

Pete, I may have an extra. I'll check when I get home on 08/30/09

flynbrian48, it would be worth it for the "COOL" factor alone!

fullhouse296, Russ is correct. The flatheads had 3 exhaust per side. The center two are siamesed.
