Projects cadillac flathead

anyone out there have any experience with a cadillac flathead and/or automatic trans circa mid 40's? thinking about buying one for a traditional pickup project. any help would be appreciated.

 

Try a search, there has been lots of discussion of flathead cadillacs including a Bonneville competitor.
