Does anybody know if a heater core from a 59-60 Cadillac would fit in a 61 of the same model? I found one on ebay for cheap and was just curious before I bought it unless someone knows where to get a new one for cheap. I've seen them on the internet for $140 exchange, which is pretty high for a heater core that I'll only use for a few months out of the year. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks in advance

You should take your bad one to a rad shop. I got a bad one of mine fixed for 40 dollars last year.

Is it the core leaking or the control valve? Like Nick asked...take it to a radiator shop to test it.

My core was good on my 62 caddy but the control valve was broken and wasn't repairable. I have since removed all the equipment and still have a core and control valve if you are interested....PM me

I don't know but I'm pretty sure the 59/60 is a different setup, but I think the 1962 will work on your 61.
Here is another site to check out specifically for 61/62 caddy's

damn, I love this site, everybodys responses are so quick. I'm not exctly sure if its the heater core or the control valve cause I'm still kinda confused on how all that works together. I havent pulled it apart yet, I just notice some fluid coming out of the bottom of the unit and making the floor damp. Thats probably the reason the floor pan was rusted through when I got the car!
