    Why would your clearance be any different than Moriarity's ?? Should be basically the same.

    mine has hurst mounts and is adapted to the stock trans, the mounts use the stock ford motor mount location. Maybe he has an open drive and for some reason mounted the engine too far forward??

    It's basically the same footprint as the SBC. My guess is he has a different radiator, due to availability, being in Norway. I have a 200 4R in my 36 with side mounts and I have room in my 36 with a sbc. We will see what happens with the 390 Caddy.

    If you look at his mounts they look home made out of square tubing, It looks like it is farther forward and much higher than mine. Mine is completely dictated by the location of the stock trans

    I just went out and looked at mine, actually his looks close to where mine is, there really should be enough room for a mech fan assuming he has a stock mounted radiator.....
