    I, as well I'm sure you all do, love the '59 Caddy, the lines, the grill both front and rear, all those lights! You get the point. That being said, how do you suppose the conversation went when they had to design the 1960?

    I can't help but feel it was like "well, now what?!"

    What do you think?

    They realized they had gone over the top (in a good way) and the only way back was down into less and less extravagance. By 65, there were no tailfins at all and very little chrome trim or even curves for that matter. But the actual emblems and logos became more fancy if that means anything.

    me i'm a big fan of the 60' , have 3 right now ... but also a big fan of the 59' front bumper, that's why all 3 have 59's on them .. also took a 60 front bumper and grille and threw it on my 64 sedan.....gotta be just a little different then the others ......aw***** who am i'm kidding , i like them all from about 72 on down.....

    I pefer the 60 to the 59. pretty much all over. the fins follow the lines better, the front end looks cleaner and more aggressive. imho after about 62 the designs were nothing special at all. the 64 looks like the classic style was asking to be put out of its misery.
    apologies to those who own 64's but eh.
