I used to have a gas pedal. A guy gave me this last night for setting a carb. Did they ever make a full set for like clutch /brake /everything? I bought mine at Jim Auto parts in Houston MS a long time ago. It was on one of those whirling sales racks. I didnt think about it until I saw it hanging on his shop wall and asked.
Gas pedal and dimmer was all I've ever seen. You can still buy them new. I think Mooneyes has them as well as others. Do a google search for foot gas pedal.
Yeah they made one that was the small feet but 2 of them put together so you had a right and left foot that went on brake pedals. Only seen 2 in my life, should have bought one to put with my dimmer and gas pedal. I did have a buddy that turned the gas pedal sideways and used longer screws to mount to his brake pedal though.... ...
I bought a bunch of the small “dimmer” feet from eBay and used them as custom cabinet door pulls in my garage.
I have an OG one for the dimmer, I had it in a big bucket of old hardware I went through a few years ago, I really should be using it.
I had the gas pedal and the dimmer I bought, took them off in a short while. 20 or so years ago, I built a 3 wheeler out of a Cushman scooter for my nephew, used the gas pedal for a foot brake. Lost track of the dimmer. Never knew about the double ones.
Still have mine gas and dimmer feet. Also had a pair of add-on covers for the clutch and brake that I don't think I ever used. These were chrome with rubber inserts and they attached by metal straps that were bent around the pedals which to me did not feel good so they were never used.
I still have some of these NOS still in the Cal Custom Package in a tub in my basement. Been there for probably 20-25 years.
Got both in my car but had to buy them separately when new. It's funny how an accessory like this and other stuff like Cal Custom breathers and metal flake steering wheels have become sought after when there was a time they were a dime a dozen. When I go to swap meets I also look for metal flake gear shifter knobs which are getting few and far between now.
I have some pedals. The 4 toe pedals are eelco. I don’t know who made the red metal flake pedal covers I had never seen any before I ran across them at a swap meet years ago
The red ones are awesome, they would match my Barracuda. At the last car show I think the most talked about part of the car was the shifter knob!
Would think if a guy had 3 pedals and you had a left foot and right foot, the brake pedal should be something in the middle. Maybe something that is a foot(long) but doesnt look like a foot. Catchin what I am pitchin?
I like the double feet for a brake pedal deal, like you're really standing on the brake with both feet trying to get it stopped !
Wow didn’t know Eelco also did them. Noticed they also only had two lines as well as only 4 toes. Anyone know what the actual first year they were offered was? The cabinet door idea or even a tool room door is a cool idea also.
Whenever I see those pedals I think of the old Gulf commercial. "Mister, can we get another 25 cents' worth of Good Gulf?"
