Calif Dmv Nazis Strike Again!!!

    I had the same problem. Your car has to be current on registration. Non op doesnt count because the computer will not allow them to post plates to your car. What you can do is register it with the paltes, wait 2 weeks then cancel the registrationa nd insuracne on it and get your money back. They will not mess with your plates or try to take them back...DB

    sounds to me like the original post guy was kind of an ass. wonder if he ever got his plates on the car...

    I was curious too. I've never had a problem with the DMV. Even bought a bike once from a guy who took it in trade for some work done but never got the pink and the tags were 14 years out of date. Smile and do what they ask and I walked out with a new plate, tags and only $35 lighter.

    Never piss of a DMV clerk. Come to think of it don't piss me off either. I'll react the same.
