If we're suppose to be American Graffiti 24-7 here in California. How come we don't have H.A.M.B. gatherings like they do in all the other states east of us? Maybe we can make something happen???
I'll check into it on thursday with the fellas. If not there maybe Yokuts or Beech Park. It would be cool to have it somewhere where we could pitch some tents and crash out for the weekend.
Oso, I've been working at the tattoo shop thursday and friday, I haven't been gettin to squeaks until after 9:30 or 10:00
Well put me down. I am in Valencia I know where Squeek is hes building a frame for me right now and my body is on the boat from AUZ as we speek. Till then i am just a bench racer. But i would love to meet some of the HAMB guys Dave
I'll do some checking around and see what's up. I'll get back to you guys I'll have to check a calender to see what's coming up so we don't throw something on the same day as one of the bigger shows.
See this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122397 Lowsprings organizes another BBQ around Feb., last time it was at Legg Lake in Whittier.
That looks like a cool spot wouldn't mind goin to the bbq. I think we were thinking somewhere more centrally located so the guys from down south and the guys from up north wouldn't have to drive so far. I also called famosa this morning but Blake Bowser the guy I'm suppose to get in touch with is out of the office until wednesday.
I'm having a get together at my place after the Primer Nationals, Saturday sept 2, Ventura,CA. We're cooking a pig and HAMBers are invited. I live 2 miles from the fairgrounds. It's something to do after the show and before the bowling alley Sat' night. If you're coming to the Primer Nat's PM me and I'll send you directions.
Yeah, it sounds like we may have something going here, if we can't get the track then we'll do it somewhere else.
Lumpy, What about Kern River Campground out by Lake Ming? It's close, after Labor Day it'll be easy to get spots, we can camp, which means we can drink! Lemme know joto
Oh yeah, that sounds cool, do you have a number for out there or do you even have to pay to camp??? Let's go check it out saturday after work.
I found a camp site in tehachipi, it's about 40 minutes east on the 58 from bakersfield. People from down south actually could take the 14 to the 58. The camp ground has 10 cabins with 10 beds and there is a cooks cabin with 7 beds. There is a mess hall that holds 100 people. The bad thing is it cost 275 a night for the whole complex. The other bad thing is there is a 400 dollar deposit in case the place gets wrecked, that is refundable. Oh yeah and the only weekend it's available is the weekend after primer nats. So let's hear some feedback!!!
this sounds like fun. paso area has nothing!!!!! (besides the show) after that the whole year ****s here.
