California registration question

    Can a car be registered as a special construction vehicle and have YOM plates? Or would that be a contradiction?

    Year-Of-Manufacture is what they go by and it ends with 1969 for cars and 1972 for trucks. I don't think special construction lists the year to match the body style. I doubt you can use the old plates.
