Bought a 49 chevrolet styleline deluxe couple years ago no ***le or paperwork but because I'm an idiot thought the body number tag was my serial number and I could have it verification now I've been working on it for a year wanted to get paperwork to drive it to its first show in may now I'm stuck after research found that the Vin is on the jam a pillar and after looking it has been removed and is no where else on the car or is it ? Should I pull parts of and sell it as a donor or is there a way around this
Call a QUALIFIED ***le service, or a vin verifier. California DMV is not too hard to deal with, if you do your homework first. sounds like a candidate for an ***igned vin number, but you must find the frame number before you begin the process.
I have read that frame wasn't stamped on the 49 not till 55 or does someone know where to find serial number on frame ?
