say what you want about it being a more door, but i wanted something with plenty of room and all 4100 lb of this thing was in my price range. I bought it about a month ago and just recently have been able to get some work done on it and took it for its first drive this evening. Im looking for both paint and wheel ideas so lets hear 'um. thanks again for all the answers to my ? over the last couple weeks. -joeks
I did the roof on this 63 while I was in Austin...I came accross a 64 2 door monterey locally with only 38,000 original miles that I REALLY want. Just haven't had the money...
say what they want about the 4 doors..thy are cool..and that would look awsome slammed..maybe bagged..stay with the original color if repainted..some nice pinstripes..and drive the **** out of it..grandpa had one of those they were cool!
Breezeways are the ****. Drop it; scallop it, paint the top a contrasting color and highlight those Elwood Engle body seam stainless trim pieces. As for wheels - I'd go either with chrome reverses or a set of spider caps on the OEM steelies with the wheels painted same color as the top to pull it all together. Don't apologize for a 4 door.
