Am looking for new White Wall tires. This may be an old subject but research on line has a fair amount of negative info on Calli Tires. Most of it has to do with quality issues, particularly about white walls bleeding brown in a very short time. And difficult if not impossible to clean the brown bleeding of the white. Am tempted to go with Diamondback although tire sizes are much more limited for my 14” rims.
Most of the lowrider brigade who run the Cali white walls aren't too concerned about tire life. At least the ones around here. When they go down the street playing with the hydrailics they chew tires up pretty fast.
If you see so many bad replies on a brand, why not just find the tire brand with the good comments. If you buy these and the turn out bad, you're going to end up buying the ones you really wanted after. Try to save up and buy those. I never see any post saying "I bought these tires and they look great and lasted"
Currently running 185 75R 14 on the front. 225 75R 14 on the rear. Canadian company that made these no longer makes whitewalls. I can get close sizes with Diamondback. Thanks for reply’s. Confirms my initial thoughts, stay away from Calli.
Calli now claims that they put some kind of barrier between the tire and the white wall, to prevent the bleed through and turning brown. I looked into it, and went with Diamondbacks. Decided it wasn't worth the trouble if they still turned brown.
