I need your ***istance. I'm curious if anyone has experience "maximizing" additional space within the core support for the 47-54 AD trucks? The reason I ask is I am installing an LS1 engine with a Vintage Air Front Runner which I believe will put me very tight against the stock radiator location once I add an electric fan. My truck didn't come with a radiator so I don't have reference point to begin with other than the original core support. Any photos or links you may have would be especially helpful. I have searched the site and havent seen very many pics of the radiator/core support adjustment possibilities.

I would also appreciate input for the radiator. I definitely want a black radiator so the aluminum options are out. I was thinking Walker since I have had great luck with these in the past.

  2. Ok I feel real dumb I thought you ment advertisments and not AD trucks and I was going to say be sure and post pictures. :D:D:D

One of the fellas will be able to help you out for sure, I can't as i don't have one to look at.

I believe that there is an AD social group, maybe they can help out, just go to sicial groupe and searhch AD trucks or just AD.

I put a big block in an AD. I cut/removed the 3/8 rods (x pattern) in front of the core support, notched the top valence panel and pushed the radiator forward a couple of inches. I actually bolted it to the front of the core support channel. I may have notched the lower splash pan a small amount. I used a "Desert Cooler" black radiator made by U.S. Radiator. It kept the big block cool with a/c and a manual fan. Sam
