79mbu reporting in...grew up in the Maritimes (Saint John, N.B.), moved to Vancouver in 1973, been living in Australia since 2003 (the outside air temp here today is +30 degrees C...take THAT, Alberta!). Canadian vehicles I have owned...1962 Laurentian, '64 Strato Chief, '66 Parisienne 2+2, '70 Acadian. I have owned a '79 Malibu since 1994, had it shipped here to Oz in 2006 (as far as I know, it is the only Malibu of that vintage in Oz, except for a couple of El Caminos that I have seen here). Saw a late 1940's commercial vehicle here at a car show. It was badged as a MAPLE LEAF (otherwise a GMC).
I'm in southern New Brunswick and can remember all of those. I worked at the Bricklin ***embly plant in Saint John in 1975. The Maritime Singer Six was built in Saint John in the early teens, very few were built.
Hello... I'm from Gatineau, Quebec, across the river from Ottawa, Ontario...already burried in 3 feet of snow so soon in winter....happy new year for 2013... Rejean
HI, I'm from Hamilton Ontario, I've got a 54 Pontiac and a few O/T rides I race at Cayuga and have fun with. We(My Dad brother and I) are making the 54 a bit of a custom, but a nice cruiser with the flathead 6 and 6volt.
What's that expression about the pot calling the kettle black? I've been negligent in watching re-runs of Coronation Street, so I'm back to where I can't understand a thing you say/write, Bob.
Sorry my google translate isn't functioning so I'll get back to you with a witty retort when I found out what you said.
