I also had a great day. Came into today thinking I was going to do a lot of standing around watching. Thanks to Killer, Charlielead, Chopped50Ford, and all others I did the opposite. Was given a Level 3 status (Grind, Cut, and Paint Removal) when I arrived. I was given instructions and was busy all day.

For those actually working on the chop it was known that based on your skills, the Levels increased. Bud and myself as mentioned started at Level 3 and ended the day in double digits. The experience and knowledge gained was priceless, not to mention the new friends made.

In defense of Tetanus and Dreadman they were there and ready to do the headlights. They were asked to stop, because of all the dust and shortage of welders, so efforts could be focused on the chop.

Whoever took care of the food and beverage I apologize for not personally thanking you. The waters/soda were always on ice and the food was incredible. THANK YOU.

For al those interested in the car it sold. Little less then asking price, but I have to move on to bigger better things (the Rebel)

I also want to thank Todd. Your work truck made the day! Was there anything that you didn't have on the truck?

Norm thanks again for Lead 101. Even though you had plenty of things to do you took the time to show me something I thought I would never learn.

Chevnut thanks to you many others will be able to enjoy they day as well. Like said You Rock!

i would have been happy to finish them, but i had to stop beacuse we were getting in the way and throwing way too much bondo dust around. i actually would have like to at least cut the old rings out, sorry.

  6. Glad to see what looks like another sucsessfull HAMB ChOP go down.

I will always rememeber the Chop hosted at my shop as one of the most memorable times I've had working on a project with a bunch of hotrodders that were there to help or learn and or both, it was a real special day ( or was that 3 days) and alot of new friends were made as well.

Just keep in mind there is alot of work to do after this event and it will take alot of dedication to finish the project but it will be so worth it when it is done.

Oh one last thing, from here on out I would like to proclaim HRLC cookies be part of all HAMB CHOPS in the future, I'll call this HAMB LAW one, from the men (and ladies) of the Out of round Table:D

Here it is. I had a fuckin blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the icing on the cake to end the 2006 year and I have to thank Norm (chopped50ford) for making that possible. Killer and Charlie, you guys got in there and kicked ass from early morning till late night. Chevnut and I joined together on the video part and will have something to share with all when the 2 become 1. It was great hangin out with all the other HAMB'rs and what every one of us brought whether it be food, drink, knowledge in the chop itself, footage (camera and video) and just plain moral support and inspiration. I am glad that I was part of it and wih that I could have been there today too see and witness the finished look.Hats off to BadBob and his son Dillion ( the one sleeping in the car pic), Shortdog, Tetnus shot, Dirt and his Bro for the power supply,(a big ass utility truck of some sort), Dreadman (great hangin with ya Chris) you should see the detail on his Panel!!!!!!!!!!!! HopTopJalop, I think gets the long distance award (came from San Francisco area) to be there along with Derek Mitchell and Fomoco on his way back via Arizona. 5051 for ending the night with a higher ranking than he went in. To all the others that were there and the names are just not popping up in my head right now (my apologies). Sorry the Mexi-dogs were not part of the food chain being that all seemed to be full already from all the other grub. Like I said earlier, I wish I was there for the grand finale but I am home taking care of my babe that needs me! You guys all rock and thank you again Norm. You better have it at MoonEyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KNUX!

Eric. The chop ran into day two. I have been tryin to get a hold of Norm on the status. Guess they are really at the crunch line right now. I was there yesteday from 7-7:30 till I think 9:30-10? It was a long and learning day on how to chop a car. Those guys worked thier ass' of with like maybe 2-3 little breaks out of the whole time I was there. KNUX!

  14. Okay...here are some pictures of the end result.

I did a little today, but merely adding patches to the last parts.

But basically, this is a ONE day chop.

Sawracer came out today to help...thanks.

The car has a nice "Mercury flow" to it. I love it. If you notice, we slanted the "B" Pillar and turned the rear window upside down.

    Here you go

Im exhausted, but I have a ton of beer, sods and meat for anyone who wants to come back next weekend and do all the little tedius work. :)

  26. I'm very glad I went. Delivering the 283 to Oak Glen was a cool side trip. I'll be at the Mooneyes Xmas Party and would like a shirt if there's an XL available. Speaking of Mooneyes, how about a H.A.M.B banner by "The Victim" in a spot where we can all park? Thanks to everyone for a great time, especially Denise for the cookies. Maybe I can help work on the car a little next weekend.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

    My turn to step up!
I had a great fantastic time at the "chop", and although i didnt get to really get my hands dirty, i roamed around and talked to as many HAMBers as i could, (which anyone that knows me well can attest to), The atmospher, food, drink, and everyone i met and b/s'ed with, Sgtlethargic, Irish Mike, Crazy backyard biulder, 53Burb, 41 Dave, George, Caffine, Killer and the man of the hour, "Norm" of couse, all cool people!!!
Good to see everyone that i have met before again.
Bigdaddy, dirt, toad 56, and sorry if i don't remember all i talked to, (like i said, i got around).
Thanks for letting us share in a fantastic get together/learning experience, and also the free leading lesson.:D
Denise, were great, and 41 dave, YOUR CHILI ROCKED!!! By the way, (small world). 41 Dave works 3 buildings down from me, and i wouldnt probably have known that except to meet him at the HAMB meet. Thanks again Guys, it was great.
    Norm im PMing you.
Oh ya, could be a lot of good future endevers springing from this show.
