    Looks great Norm...

Think the VW guys woulda represented like that? ;)

I was thinking about you, there's a lady in our neighborhood 'restoring' an early '60s VW hippy-van with the original technicolor paintjob still on it... It's Patina-Rific and it's pretty funny.

Wow. Sure would have loved to be there. We need one of these events on the east coast, like near DC.

just like everyone said it was a great day. when fatt's, toad 56 and i got there at 6:45am we were greeted by shortdog out in the street. soon after we were joined by hellboundgasser. after about half and hour of bullshitting everyone started showing up. it turned out to be 57 people that showed up. well at least that is how many names i had for the drawing.
it was cool to see the car being chopped. it was even cooler to help out on the a pillers. i learned quite a bit. if anyone else is planning to chop there ride(hellboundgasser im looking your way) let me know i'll be there to help out.
norm, thanks for everything. it was a great day that went very smooth because of your planning. also thanks for the drawing and t-shirts.
i had to leave at 7:00pm due to a headache and the fact that my feet were swelling up like balloons from standing up all day. i really wish i could have stayed longer to see the leading of the a pillers.
someone, sorry i forgot who had the idea, suggested that we need to start something like this on a regular basis. maybe once a month or so. not necessarily a chop but just help another hamber get their ride together or running or what ever it needs. i think it is a great idea. any other socal hambers into something like that?

  9. I'm down with Dirt's idea. I'm kinda new to this and have learned a hell of a lot just from the Tuesday night events...have met some great cat's that now I call my friends. I'd love the opportunity to hang out, help out and pick up some more knowledge along the way. Tell me when and where...I'm there!

I think thats an awsome idea cause theres always something to be learned from another guy, nobody knows everything. Even though i took bodyshop class from a seasoned bodyman, Norm showed me/us, a little different technique to laying in the lead. (Thanks again Norm). I'm going to be chopping Scott's top , and Satinblack's old 31 ford coupe top,(now belonging to someone else), in the new year, maybe you guys wanna see what the desert looks like around that time.
I think it's a great idea to help each other out
that way cause that means theres that many more bitchin rods and customs hittin the roads sooner, (not to mention the "Barley and Malt" com-ROD-ery that goes along with it. :D

  12. It would be great to do something like that.
