I hope this is OK with the mods, but this is pretty important. I'm gonna copy and paste this from another board. I have all the contact info if ANYONE can help.

"There's a guy here in town who's very nice and sadly has had cancer that's come back and this time they can't operate. He's 40something...way too young. It's spreading and they are saying he'll maybe make it to the end of the year.

This is really sad for anyone who knows him. A gal who works for me is a very close friend and she's doing whatever she can to make his life as full and exciting while he can still get around.

For example, she's and his other friends are hosting a big party for him tomorrow night with a band, food, raffle prizes, silent bid auctions, etc., to raise some cash so that he and his wife can do some extra fun things.

Meanwhile, she's been trying to find out what he might want to do - not to be morbid, but to be realistic...it's a bucket list.

One of the things Joe would like to do is to take a p*** down the 1/4 mile in a very fast car. I'd take him, but really I've never even cracked 13 seconds so I don't think that would be very exciting. I think the BART trains around here probably have more pickup.

So if there's anyone *fast* who would be willing to take a good guy down the track for a pants-wetting ride down the 1320 (Sonoma is the closest track), please let me know. I don't even know if you can take a p***enger at certain ETs, but I figure the fast guys would know.

Meanwhile, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope it didn't bother anyone too much."
