Months ago I came across a vintage decal for a cam maker that had a robot for a logo. I don't recall the name of the company. It must have been a small and/or short lived company because I don't recall ever having seen that logo or heard of that name before. I've searched and searched but I can't find the decal again. Anyone have any ideas? Btw, it's very possible I'm not remembering this correctly, and it wasn't a cam company and it wasn't a robot. Could have been a crank company and a spaceman, etc.
I believe you're talking about the B&M HydroStick decal Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You're probably thinking this one: You probably saw it posed by @toml24 on the TRADITIONAL LOGO DESIGNS OF THE LESSER KNOWN thread.
Yes, that's it, thank you very much! I'm pretty sure though that I saw it elsewhere on the internet, one of those sites that sells reproductions of vintage stickers. I'd like to put one of those on my T bucket, even though it doesn't use one of those cams of course. Is that cheating? lol
Both Isky and Crower ( not crawler LOL) both used a lot of different Logos over the years. Maybe google either one of them and see what you come up with.
I had some decals on the rear side window of my fast street/strip '56 Ford convert. One was a Schieffer flywheels decal...I didn't have a schieffer 'wheel in the Ford, the Schieffer was in ex wife's car. Long story...
We've all owned a sticker racer at one time or another. LOL I was talking to a well known drag racer about his cam shaft once, his sticker was not in align of what I would be using and I wanted to know how the cam shaft worked for him. He asked what I would be using and I told him and he said, "Me too, these people are just paying me to run this sicker on my car. Next week someone else may pay me more and I'll sweat this one off and put theirs on."
Ha! Beaner, if I could have found someone to pay me for running 'stickers'... I had 14" Mooneyes on the front fenders, (ran 'B' stock at Fremont) Took a trip down to Dean Moon's shop in Santa Fe Springs to pick up some Vbelt pulleys for my blown hemi. Dean was having a drink, was all over my white '56! Then I told him I ran 'B' stock. He grumbled, "Hell, if you were upside in the Gas classes, I mighta sponsored you!"
LOL you cannot imagine how many free t shirts I got over the years with my advertising isn't free argument.
Ah, gotcha. Glad I could help! And no, not cheating. I doubt anyone is going to yank your engine apart to verify the stickers. haha
