69 327 fulieheads ,flattops 30 over Running tripower Rochesters.Rear is 3.00 and torque converter could be mild up to 2500 stahl or stock.Have both What is the best cam to run with that combo.
Crane Blueprint Cam, L-79. By far the all time best street cam ever built unless you decide you want solid lifters, then the Duntov 30/30 is the way to go and crane also makes that one in a Blue print cam. The run between 80 and 100 dollars, depending on who you buy it from. I have an engine that makes a little over 400 dyno proven ponies on an L-79 cam. Its been in my daily for over 10 years, when I say dailey I really mean to and from everything.
Factory L79 327/350 hp cam for sure...part #3863151. I've run several over the years...nice lumpy sound too.
I like the Duntov 30/30 cam with solid lifters. I have one new on the shelf that'll go into my next SBC build. There was a comparable Z28 off road cam, probably everyone makes them. BoB
My favorite SBC hydraulic cam is the 929 (I don't remember the rest of the number, sorry) and my favorite solid is the 097. I think Crane makes Blueprinter versions of both.
I'll second that,great cam.Fitted one to a 350 in a '73 Camaro ,m***ive imporovement,pulled like a train.
Yep on the L-79, have ran them in damm near every SBC I've ever built 283 to 400. Even got that profile in my 153 Chevy II 4 in my T.
