Technical Cams that will not work well with a auto trans?

    I always review this chart from Grumpys Performance to help me with cam selections, ;)
    Your 351 CID divided by 8 cylinders is 43.875 cubes per cylinder, places your engine in the middle chart.
    A 200 to 210 duration cam at .050 lift would start becoming efficient about 800 rpm, that should work good with most stock converters.
    I have a Competition Cams Extreme Energy 268 advertised duration in a 355 CID sbc, the actual duration at .050 is 224-230.
    Comp advertises this cam as max with a stock converter, but I had to have my foot on the brakes tight before pulling it into drive with the stock 700r4 converter :oops:
    I changed the converter to a 3500 stall and woke it up, now got traction problems in 1st gear :D

    I was hoping to get all the torque at lower engine speeds since I planned on having tall gears and it's a heavy car so I figured RV grind would be the best but did not get it or anything that would work well
