Pretty much like the title says. When I created the add it told me the photos were too big. now I figured I’d bump the add with some screen shots of the photos figuring they’d be smaller and after I click “add” to upload them it gets rid of the upload page but I don’t have any loading files like you do on a normal post? It’s acting like I never even tried to add a photo. I see 3 or 4 pages of adds added after mine that have photos so I’m assuming it’s something on my end possibly? Little lost thanks Timm
@corncobcoupe i went to try one more time and the screen shots of the photos worked! Maybe I had a wonky internet connection the second time I tried and the page just wasn’t loading. thanks for the offer of help, never had a phone photo be to big to load before! Got it sorted
CAN’T POST PHOTOS TO CLASSIFIED AD Hello, We all have come a long way from 4 megapixel phone cameras of the beginning of old flip phones. Or small flat phones that hide in some big hands. But, they did the job at hand and the early quality was ok, but not as good as a real digital camera lens and supporting views. Currently, the more modern phones are coming up in quality rivaling the digital cameras, but still have a long ways to go. Afterall, they are telephones not cameras. It is an aspect of simplicity in one’s hands that makes it handy and not taking up a big pocket in a jacket or filling up a small purse with no other room for necessities…. Oh no! But, in the time since the first portable hand held flip phone, it is a convenience at hand. Pun intended Jnaki One of the biggest upgrades for the iPhone 14 Pro camera system is the main lens being increased to 48MP with what Apple calls an “advanced quad-pixel sensor.” However, the camera defaults to taking 12MP images. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Primary Camera: 108 MP (wide) 2nd Camera: Periscope 48 MP (telephoto) 3rd Camera: 12 MP (ultrawide) 4th Camera: 0.3 MP TOF 3D (depth) These are typical of the top of the line in android and apple phones. Yes, there are folks that take quality photos and movies on an apple phone that look like a Hollywood production. But it is a handy item in reality, but the real larger digital cameras still have the edge in photo quality and size. So, the easiest way for me is to save the photos from either phone camera or digital camera to your files. Look at the information for each photo. On your saved photos, the info will show you how large the original photo you saved is in size. Resizing any saved photo is a process and it is a guessing game. In the photo program way or this simple way to resize a photo that goes along with your typed information for a story or advertisement. Copy that photo and paste it on a word document. Type up your story and copy the photo to paste it where you want to show the image. Now, your standard copy paste is going to show up rather large on the word document. Click on the image and find the corner dots. If you use the corner dots to move inward to the center, the image will get smaller without losing any quality. Most of the time it gets smaller to fit the paragraph story spaces. Instead of a long drawn out, one giant run-on paragraph, the adjusted photos would help tell the story with visuals to go along in the timeline. In your case, a series of photos, not thumbnails. But, a few choice full photos for emphasis is fine. Then to finish up the ad, a series of thumbnails for those that would pursue the ad in the classified section… YRMV A full size digital photo from an Android phone A resized photo in a Word Document for clarity and fit in the story without overpowering the information. The same would go for an ad in the classified section, too. The difference between thumbnail and full image as posted to the page.
