Can A 1957 2 Door Wagon Sedan Delivery Come With Side Windows??

I would think if it has the (fold down)rear seat then it calls for closer examination. Is there a metal cover over the upper hinge
on the rear door? Is it full width of the roof? The delivery door
had heavy cast hinges and torsion rods to help lift the door. I
imagine it would be possible bolt a delivery door to a regular
wagon rear window hinge. Regular wagon hinges are much lighter
stamped steel pieces and their covers are separate and much smaller.
Not sure if this is a great description, but if you could post pics
of the rear door and hinges and the rear seat area it would be much
easier to tell. Either way I'm not sure it really matters value wise
unless your going to do a stock restoration. My 57 wagon was
originally a two tone 150 2 door handyman. By the time I bought it
in 1975 it had delivery side panels and their inner structure. Also had 210 stainless trim installed above and below the side panels.
    Anythings possible.

In the HItchcock movie " North by Nortwest " there is a scene near the end with Sedan delivery/wagon. I cannot remember much but thought that the car was kool when I saw it. It may have been a sedan delivery but I seem to recall something about Dept of Agriculture on the door. Just FYI I could be wrong

I had a 57 Chevrolet sedan delivery back in the late 60's. While I owned it ... I saw a few 57 sedan deliveries with the window on one side. I believe they were ex-Navy vehicles. I was living in Charleston Sc at the time and a lot of old Navy stuff turned up there.

The window on the right side would have made them easier to drive in traffic. Mine ( without the window ) was rough .. to see out of when changing into the right lanes ... :(

Running is one thing, but road-worthy is another. Ask yerself what it's gonna need to drive it as is. I see a lot of replies with the attention on rarity. Not that big of a deal. Sounds like a 2dr wagon with a delivery door. Any tri-5 brings good dough pretty easy unless it's the lowest 4dr 6cyl sedan. Armed with all of these facts (and my opinions) figure what it would take to make it as you wish and the value of it then. Deduct the cost of the re-do and that's the number...for you.

If it was drivable, looked ok, had good floors and body mounts, had a solid frame, and the trim pieces were either nice or easily repaired, I'd guess 4K or less. Regardless of rare and door options it's still a 6cyl 2dr wagon. I won't go into the costs and values of restoration...we all know that already. I hope if it's what you want you can score it reasonable.

Speaking of Bell vans (well it was before John Deere)...... as far as I've been able to find out, these were called "Display" vans.

  12. I saw one years ago at Coons, in Kentwood LA.
Ambulance Delivery with windows that were etched with stylized crosses.
Had only the 150 spear (no bird) and said National on the front fender.

I wonder what happend to it, may still be there. :?:
