Hi Everyone. I have a 57 4 door 150 with a 235 engine and i am currently installing a 700r4. i would like to know if i could gut my exsisting manual steering column and put in a rebuild kit for an automaic steering column. I do not want any tilt column or power steering but open to suggestions. Also are all tri five steering columns interchangable with each other?
    Thanks for everyones help.

You can easily replace a std. shift column with an auto column and visa versa but to convert a std column to an auto maybe alot of work with not so great results. Its better to get an auto column to begin with.

Pretty easy.... at manual shifter you move 2 rods to gearbox, let one out, connect the other against gearbox. perhaps you need change of rod lenght, etc.
It would be possible to change from drive to reverse, park, etc. without the shifter against you...... and, shifter viewer needs replacement.....
