Can a Fendered "A" be era correct for the 50's?

and hard to read. Punctuation is good.

I helped Jack, off a horse. or I helped jack off a horse.

The b/w photo's are the same car. Really like it with the louvered hood and sides on it.

I realized the red car was the same one in the following photos, I was trying to differentiate between it and the light colored full fendered coupe at the end.
As far as riverrats punctuation, everyone knows real bad-ass hot rodders are illiterate. Those of us that can read & write, and actually know what cars looked like back in the day, are just gold-chain posers.

Hey, I was just saying that the b/w photo's had the hood on and how great it looked. This typing conversational stuff always gets misconstrued, more so when I type it. No offense meant, wasn't suggesting you couldn't figure that out. Is being nice, a gold-chainer poser thing too? Ah f*ck it...

    See I did it again.

FWIW, there are several full-fendered Model A's in Andy Southards book, Hot Rods of the fifties. I went through several late fifties Hot Rods, and actually didnt find that many Model A's period. I really like bobbed stock rear fenders on the back with cycle fenders on the front, and it was a pretty popular look. Not to hi-jack, but one thing that I have harped on on other threads, is the number of rods from that era with the aftermarket Plymouth cones on them. In a quick five minute random search for full-fendered Model A's, I ran across half a dozen cars with the cones on them. Sure wish someone would re-pop those.

Saxon, no problem. People seem to mis-interpret my sense of humour a lot. That warning at the bottom of my posts isnt there just for shits and giggles.;):D

Earlier than that, I think it was either 51 or 52. The reason I say that is the Chuck Price Roadster - the one that was on the cover of the first issue of Rods & Customs - got fenders in late 52 because the original owner sold it (It was a yellow High Boy) when the fender law went into effect saying "Hot Rodding is over now that we have to run fenders".
The fender law was responsible for not only the creation of that car, which was one of the significant 75 but also for the creation of the Gray Bakserville car that original owner Paul Horning built as something of a copy of the Price car.

When a guy is asking about something being "Era Correct", he is asking about what was done and history - and that is not in the eye of the beholder or owner, but based in facts.
"fuck tradition" - i guess you really have a grasp on what this entire forum is about then don't you

F&J, here is a pic of the "Cones". These are actually the aftermarket versions, and these are what I would MOST like to see re-popped. Is this thing sweet or what? Aug. '59 Hot Rod magazine. Riverrat, you can ignore this. Stick with the red smoothies...

Just realized, if we are going to poke fun at Riverrats punctuation, I should at least capitalize my I's.

I'm not running fenders on my 29 Sedan, because it'll be on a 32 frame.

Having owned BOTH a HiBoy 32 roadster and a full fendered 32 Ford roadster ( I Know ... not a Model A  ) fenders are very desirable. Helps keep the rain/slop and rocks off the paint. Model A's just look better to me with fenders.

Was there not a thread dedicated to fendered roadsters somewhere? A little help please, I can't find it!
