Loaded up the wife and kids yesterday and we headed about 4 hrs west to Mankato, Mn. and picked up a 55 Buick Special. She liked it and its solid! It came from New Mexico last fall. The engine turns over but doesn't run and the brakes are bad but otherwise it shouldn't take much to make it a driver. Add this to my collection wth my A sedan and roadster project and I think I need a bigger garage!............Mike
Mike, I forget to ask, the tire tie-downs you're using on your trailer. Are you happy with them? How long are the straps for the ratchet? I've been looking at getting some as I'm tired of hauling around chain and boomers. Thanks.
Congrats !! Nice car and I'm betting you'll love it more the longer you have it but then, I'm a little prejudiced............. Here's a pic of mine:
think you've made a good score -- looks realy fine--- and tagman's car is a perfect example for a good style -- love that car!!
That's one solid foundation you picked up for another project. But hey, If you feel like you have too many things going on at once I'll gladly take that roadster off of your hands. Good luck.
Looks like a nice cruiser for the wife. Since we built A sedans together I suppose your next project is a 27 T roadster like my next project! Tell me about the roadster project.
I love em! I hauled my racecar around for years useing chains and binders then switched to these a few years ago. So much easier. I'm putting anchors on the floor for 2 more........Mike
'29 coupster, I'm still in the parts gathering stage. I'll gather though next summer then thrash on it the winter after and have it on the road by the spring after. No more of this 1-2 yr building ********! .......Mike
Never can have too many projects, just not enough time left in my life to finish them. Seems like the more you have the more opportunities you get to aquire more. I can`t turn away an orphan. I have a few that I would almost give away just to see them turn into something. Jerry
