hey guys,,,my girlfriend's son has his senior prom coming up on the Saturday, the 17th of May. He goes to Pennsbury High in Levittown, PA. The school is famous for the "arrival" of the students to the Prom,,,,There's been Hot Rods, Tractors, Stretch Limos, you name it,,,,,even skydiving one year! It's all about how you "arrive"......I currently do not have a roadworthy car (except for my hideous Saturn) so unfortunately, I can't help him out,,,but I was hoping maybe a HAMBer with a cool car could spare a couple of hours On Sat night (probably from 6 PM to 7-8 PM),,basically, all you'd have to do is just drive him and his date through the procession and drop them off,,,,,,,,Im willing to pay you for your time and gas.....please send me a PM if you think there is any way you could help.....

I did this for My daugher's freshman formal a few years back.. We were in line with a bunch of limos.. when we pulled up most people forgot all about the limos and started clicking pictures of me letting Tricia and her date out of the 58 Impala. I got quite a charge out of it I must say. I wish just one of the people taking pictures would have followed though and sent me a pic that they clicked....Oh, well.
Hope that this young couple get the chance.:D

Like Jim said, Pennsbury Prom is all about the arrival. By the time the parade starts, there are hundreds ( at least) people surrounding the road and driveway. There are cars, limos, dumptrucks, backhoes, firetrucks, trolleys, everyone tries to out do each other. The Phila news stations are usually there.
Jim has the Saturn, I have a Taurus - I told my son we can paint flames on it, maybe lower it a bit - if no one responds to the post ( we don't have time to chop it ) He still isn't happy !! Any help here would really be appreciated.

It may not be HAMB friendly, but most kids would jump at the chance to go to prom in a 60s Chevelle SS convert.

I think in his dates eyes, perhaps renting a horse draw carriage might be really very cool and romantic.

Gotta think about his date as well.;)

We considered that too. In fact, it was one of the things my son picked. The problem is getting it to the prom.

They use them for weddings and get delivered all over town. I would imagine whoever you rent the set up from would bring it where ever you wanted. Just a thought.

I was a car girl in high school and went to prom in a '68 Camero convert. I was not happy. It wasn't anything "special", it was what I rode around in all the time. Horse drawn carriage would have been the icing on the cake.....and probably have gotten him laid ....did I just type that????:D
