and I'd do it for you as well if I lived in Philly, or anywhere 1/2 close at least, and didn't have plans already.

Just trying to keep this at the top for you with all this horsing around.;)

BTT, just trying to help. Too far away to do anything else. All the kids here in Atlanta just rent pimped out party bus limo's. We parent's don't have a problem with it because it keeps them from behind the steering wheel.

  7. Tell them to re-schedule the prom, all the cool kids will be at the car show.

My son is 18 and his date is a girl he works with. They are friends, she is 21 and he has informed me "HOT". She is very pretty. I don't think we'll get a horse drawn carriage ... or for that matter anything with a back seat !

  9. I would be glad to do it, if it weren't for the Showdown. :D

But Bump for the late morning crowd.

    Jim/Linda,

If he wants to go in the stock '40 Sedan, I can probably do it. But if it rains on the car, he's waxing it afterward. I made the same offer to my kid and he turned it down since he wants to rent a limo with his friends.

When you 18 and your boyfriend/girlfriend is 21 looks don't matter. They can buy BOOZE! When I was 18 I would date any "of age" horse face that would look my way.

if i had a hamb related car id do it but im sure he doesnt want to go to prom in an 87 camaro lol and my motorcycle only fits 1 p***enger

lol thats one of the reasons i never went to my prom

one of my younger sisters once told me she wanted me to build her a 49-51 chopped merc leadsled limo for her to ride to her prom in. now seeing as she is currently a junior in highschool im rapidly running out of time to build her that car. i might just tell her to ride her motorcycle to prom like i was gona do if i went to prom but i was one of those kids who just didnt see the point in going to prom. i had better things to spend my $ on and better places (were there wernt as many cops ) to spend my time at. :)

Jesus, I'm about to cancel an event in Tulsa to come help out... Unfortunately the only car that will make it there is the non hamb Malibu strip car with 4.10's.

It would take me a day to get there, but would flip some dresses up with the side exit 3" exhaust and big cam.

Edit: Maybe check the cl***ifieds for a car for sale and tell them the drill! Rent it for the night for $100 with a contract that you'll pay asking price for damage?

    Hey Kustom7777,

Here's a thought. Right before my prom I nearly "bought" a 1963 Mercury Meteor 2 dr h/t ($1200 worth of brake work, in storage for 20 years, 36,000 miles and it was FREE!). Anyways... if I had gotten the car, the plan was to have the car flatbedded to the prom with me behind the wheel of the Meteor. Could you do this with one of your cars if no one pulls thru?

I know you are getting a lot of "I would, but" responses, but to keep this bttt I can honestly say that I would drive them with my '42 convertible but I will be at Hot Rods and Harleys that day. I would even jazz up the flat black and flames to make it look clean again. Lots of empty promises since I already said I can't do it, but for something like this I know how important it is to the guy to impress his girl.
Someone tell Bill and Joe that the Kopper Kart is booked that day too.

    ***man!
