you can PM me for them, but this run is about all spoken for. i'll go by time received in the PMs and all that for the remaining ones until i run out. i'll cast more, so if anybody wants to reserve them we can still do that. as far as shipping for everybody, i guess i didn't write too clearly, been fielding PMs since yesterday afternoon like mad! they're 50$ each, and shipping works like this: 5$ for one, 8$ for two, canada shipping will be about 2 bucks more in each category, give or take. thanks again, everybody. pretty well amazed at all your responses...

here's a pic kinda showing a tad of how they're done. the brown pilot skull with the red stem is the original sculpture. barely visibile at the bottom of the pic is the top of the mold that i made from it to cast wax replicas of the original. the all red pilot skull is one of these. they are dipped in ceramic a number of times, and then the wax is burned and melted out, creating a hollow mold. i am holding one of the cast aluminum skulls made in this manner, probably #15 or # 16. this one snapped off the main "tree" of 16 skulls and had to be done individually with my very small crucible. after pouring they have to be beadblasted, sprues and vents must be removed, any imperfections are addressed, and each is sanded and polished to bring out highlights, then black acrylic is applied to darken recesses

i've been clearcoating them to protect the shine, but it kinda darkens the metal when i do this. they still look good, but if you drive your car a bunch, they'd be ok if left bare i'd think, as you'd drive to the patina of your choice. if you guys can, let me know how if you want clearcoat.

also, these are undrilled and untapped. i will drill and tap them for you if you want, no charge for HAMBers for that.

anyways, gotta run. thanks again, hope you guys dig em once ya get them in your hands...

wow... sold out of the pilots before i even made an ad! all 16 in metal are spoken for. i'll start casting more of them pretty soon, though, so no worries. still about 8 bunga bungas available. gonna finish all of the skulls from this run, take a week to take care of a few other things (gotta finish my middle finger door lock pulls) and i'll start the next run... probably pour sometime around the first week of may. anybody that wants to pre-order, just let me know. i'll mark you down, and get ahold of you guys when they are cast, and we can handle payment at that point. i'd rather not take money from folks unless i have the metal in my hand. anyways, thanks to everybody. looks like i'm gonna be a busy fella!

Aint the HAMB great!! Who needs to advertise when your customer base is all here. I put a couple of pieces of art on the friday art show (you should put this stuff on too) just to show my stuff and I sold 2 pieces and now have a commission to do. I never even tried to sell stuff and have never actually wanted to but I just wanted to show my pics, the response has been just great, so much I have actually started painting again after at least a 10 year layoff......

no doubt, man. this all started when i decided to put a manual trans in my impala and thought i'd make a shifter knob for it. drew a few sketches and thought hmmmm.... sculpted some stuff and thought i'd see what would happen.

i hate to say it, as much as i love art, and especially the HAMB's art, but i don't regularly get to check out the art show because i have dial up and it takes so long to load. hell, sometimes the computer just gives up with pictures half loaded. pisses me off. we're talkin 21k connection, sometimes 16.8K, sucks big time. country livin' i guess! when i can i hop on a computer at school when i'm subbing and catch up, but they keep me pretty busy. i need to invest in some technology, i think.

got somethin pretty damned spectacular for a HAMB auction sometime in the nearish future, though.

    thanks again, fellas...

haha, well, first i gotta get a 4 bbl carb for the impala, a center link and an idler arm.

then i gotta concrete the lower pole barn here on the farm. then i'm gonna frame up a room in the back, insulate it some more drywall it out, this and that and eventually have my own place with a drive in living room and a swingin pad in the back. then i gotta get a laptop or somethin. then i'll get broadband!

substitute teaching sucks... shoulda picked something else in college besides social studies education. they're laying teachers off left and right around here unless you're a special ed. teacher. it means alot to me to be able to be productive, make something, and get something out of it. when you're a sub, there really isn't anything to quantify your productivity with. did the kids start any fires, fights, or draw any blood? nope... well, i guess i did a good job today. the kids do dig the impala though, it has its own fan club!

  19. Mine arrived today.

Totally amazing. The detail is unbelievable.

You have me down for a "Bunga-Bunga" & "Bomber". Count me in for any others that may come in the future.

Mine musta came yesterday, and I got them out ASAP this morning to look over and now show off.

These things are simply amazing!!!! The freaking detail. The Bomber having one lens in his goggles shattered out. The Bunga Bunga's dropped jaw.....!!!

The bomber has single handledly convinced me I need to build a roadster.
The regular skull already has its home picked out. And the Bunga Bunga I got just to have. He'd look killer in a ol Jeep or anything safari or wood paneled.

I am simply awe struck, yes the price for multiple pieces starts getting scary. But where else you going to find some shit like this?

Note the $2 bill is in the foreground making it larger looking since it was closer. Each of these is slightly bigger than a handful.

Josh you kick ass, thanks, and hope you raised some hard earned coin to get after your car.

C-rat, please put my name in for one of the "Death by Bunga Bunga" knobs. I'm usually wearing a pith helmet at swaps and shows so I really do resemble him.

    thx

there's about 8 packages heading out as of today all over the country and points north of the border, so hopefully they'll be in you guys' hands before long.

really glad you guys like these. for a really detailed and involved piece, especially like the pilot skull, i might have 16 or so hours sculpting it. casting process takes a good bit more time, kinda hard to quantify it offhand, whatever it is, i did 80 skulls of all types during the last run and it took a long time!

looking forward to sculpting some next week during the day and more metal work at night. it's spring break for this substitute teacher, and i am going to get some things done. new stuff comin up! gonna do a HAMB auction piece, some other stuff too.

sure am gonna miss yellin at the freshmen to do their damned work. shucks.

txrat, gotcha marked down for a pilot in run #2, and jerry, i have a few bunga bungas left, so if you want, i can get one to you sooner than the next pour as i'e got them "in stock." bunga bunga's also gonna be limited to a run of 100.

anyways, thanks again as always. i appreciate the compliments and business, for sure...

    you guys rock
